got ethical husbandry?

My 200 gallon mixed reef tank

When I introduce clowns, I will use the funnel drop method. They are said to instantly host what they are put in but it will be the first time Im testing it.

Yeah my goldbar maroon is extremely aggressive too.. I really need to find another red sea tank deal.

I have 3 pairs of clowns, my 2 for sure captive bred pairs have always been hosted by inanimate objects, like mag float, or this one heater that doesn’t work anymore, so I unplugged it and left it in. My onyx perc pair ( not sure if they are wild or captive, forgot to ask when purchasing) have always LOVED my corals. They would dive in and out of my Xenia and frogspawn alllllll daaaaaay loooooong

Yep, clowns are oddballs. My buddy bought a pair of onyx from the same breeder as I did years ago. They refuse to host anything and are free swimming even after being in his tank for ~4 years. The frogspawn that I have actually came from him and my pair of onyx dove into them within a month of being introduced into the tank and have been hosting in it ever since.

Holy guacamole.
From Monday 7pm to Friday 12pm...

My alk dropped 2.5,
Calcium dropped 30,
Mag dropped 20.

Good thing I took work off today to get my brew a starting.

That seems like a lot from a big and relatively empty tank.
I would suspect calcium precipitation. Get that Mg up.
Also, you might want to pop a powerhead or pump open, and see if there are noticeable deposits already.
