My company paying me to sit on my behind

We have no work right now. I can't find another job because nobody hiring. This is suck.

Wanna guess when my company gonna give me a package?? ;D

Well you'll be lucky to get a package. Severance is not a legal obligation in any way shape or form.

Unless they change the policy, we always get the package when we get lay off. They give us 2 months to find a job. If we can't find anything, we get 2 weeks for every year we work for them, up to 20 or 25 weeks.

At the Airports.. All Airlines try to cut cost = no work for us ..

That's happening at the NUMMI plant in Fremont as well. They go in but they haven't been producing cars. They've also instituted the mandatory furlough once a week, which is unpaid.
