Yeah I didn’t know either until I asked them about it. Apparently it was the only one of its kind in the US, hence it’s $25K price tag. Visitors have offered to buy it for as much as $30K from the aquarium but all were rejected of course. Due to its rarity, the fish was embalmed at the Smithsonian, where it will “live on forever”.oh didnt realize that, bummer
Not sure. My guess is it’s simply rare. Can’t seem to find another one...crazy. why only one in the US?
It’s a super deep water fish, rare, high price tagcrazy. why only one in the US?
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen an orange tip one at Neptune’s before. Pretty sureCurrently at the Waikiki Aquarium and came across these. Would love to have one in my tank!

They are deep water. 150-300+ feet. Not many collectors go that deep

You should keep a mantis shrimp in the pest tank lolAre you keeping nano fish?
Mine seems the most docile... but I don't keep nano fish in my pest tank, though I am thinking about adding them in. But, I have a baby Niger trigger in there now to grow out before moving it to a bigger setup.
