Hey everybody, I have an old-school oceanic trickle filter system. The kind that uses bio balls. I was thinking about using it but substituting the bio balls for some more efficient media. What do you guys think? I see those man-made biological filtration cubes, could I use that in a wet dry situation? How about just a bunch of crushed live rock, wouldn’t that basically have the same affect as bio balls but with more surface area?
Thanks!
