I've been pretty happy with my AI Nero 3 pumps, especially because they come with nice nemguards that look pretty good.
I got a beautiful Colorado Sunburst from @nly04 awhile back, and last night it decided to walk over the AI Nero 3. Now, the crazy thing is, this guy squished itself through the slot where the pump cable goes through, bypassing the guard, and got shredded.
Most of it's body somehow squeezed through that small cable notch in the guard, and I have beautiful orange tentacles all over my tank now. Looks like a paintball fight with iridescent paint all over.
The foot and most of the base didn't go through, but the whole top got destroyed.
So it was a pretty sad day, my holy grail of anemones was doing great, but this nemguard really failed me.
Just a PSA to still be careful with the Nero 3 nemguard that comes with the pump.
