Where To Buy Povidone?

I got a bunch of little bottles of povidone from BAR meetings a while back. I just finished up the last of my stash. Just curious where I should buy some. IIRC, somebody mentioned they bought theirs at CVS. What kind should I get? Is there a specific brand?

I bought mine at CVS. I got the generic CVS brand. It's "Povidone-Iodine 10%". Now that I look at the bottle I notice that it also contains several other ingredients of unknown quantities--Citric Acid, Dibasic Sodium Phosphate, Glycerin, Nonoxynol-9, purified water, sodium hydroxide. These other ingredients do concern me a bit especially the Nonoxynol-9 which may make the coral polyps very unhappy.

Nope, too old fashioned, won't work on new corals.


Just had not heard of anyone using iodine lately. I have not used it in years.
A lot of people use Bayer these days.

Of course, now I am curios - I wonder why many people stopped. And which is better??
