Why does some of the most expensive equipment use some of the cheapest part *mini-rant*

Heck... take the part with you and have an idea of which ones may work and ask them if you can try it out on them :D
 
Alright got one of the one Tony posted up at Jameco, the inside diameter of the adapter is too small. No worries though I popped it open, took the other cord out, soldered the old one in, and works like a charm. Only pain is they used an absolutely huge glob of solder on each of the leads, my 30w iron couldn't melt through it at all, had to upgrade to the 150w iron.

You can have the other if you want Arnold, if not no big deal I can hang onto it until the next time one of the power adapters goes kaput.
 
Ugh I hate having to swap irons like that. I no longer have a station so it's a PITA to deal with. The hot one always finds something to burn!!

The power supply above does fit the vortech driver and has been working flawlessly for me the last couple of weeks

And you can do "will call" at Jameco since they are local in the Bay Area :D
