Yes, maricultured coral often have ocean critters - good and bad

Smooth ones are acro crabs, mutualistic little guys. Don’t toss them out

I find them to be pretty sensitive to alk and temp swings. Given its pale, keep it in lower PAR and maintain your parameters.

Keep things stable, no crazy high light, give it enough flow that interior branches also get flow

Mine and his are both pretty pale. I was able to see his yesterday. They lost color during shipping. So it will likely take a while for it to return.

I haven't even seen it yet.

Most mariculture pieces come in lighter in color from the pictures. Over time depending on your water quality will change the color of the coral.
