Just upgraded into a 400 gallon system and was wondering if this recipe from Randy still holds up to 2026 standards. I used to get by with ESV on the 180 gallon system but with the jump up its making me think about these DIY methods to help the finances. Anybody using his mix? any ill effects...
Yellow Fuji’s for the win! Classic coral that will always hold a special place in my tank. Remember whoever gets that frag….nuke it from space and I mean nuke it!!!! Had it at 1230 PAR in these pics. Nothing was wrong but I felts like it was too much so now she sees about 920 lol
I agree, if you can’t find anybody I’d be open to seeing where I could help if you wanted to train. Unfortunately I work in the medical field so my skill sets reside elsewhere but I have a staggering amount of down time in front of a computer with my job.
Id 100% go with kessil for repairs over anybody else in the hobby. Makes for a better resell as well. Nobody will want to buy with a tampered unit by joes garage. Just factor that in.
Hang in there, don't quit yet. 1-18 months is the most frustrating time in this hobby. Do yourself a favor and find yourself some good old established rock from a tank and just let your tank settle. People want to hit the gas when they get in the hobby, we look on social media and see all these...
I can understand that for sure...im just convinced that in this hobby the words cost efficiency is completely out the window. The hunt for it is always on our minds though. Mine to, if we were to find a way I would be following suite any which I could to help drive any costs down.
