Just an update, Since catching and disposing of the four I found, I have not seen any others, day or night. Fingers crossed I'm good!

Everything still going smoothly. Very little evaporation of water so I just add a splash every other day to keep salinity stable...

I concur with Michael. Do what’s easiest to make the frame or platform. You’re over thinking it just a little :)
