Anyone still have the 2 OG purple monster?
One was Eddie PM i think.
Very hard to grow
Drop in water chemistry usually kills the whole coral overnight.

Almost impossible to find nowadays. Keith (Reefbum used to sell frags but lost his colonies). I think there are some similar ones being collected/maricultured in the Solomon Islands again by Tim at PM Corals. Not sure if they're exporting right now.

Reef Builders’ colonies of the “rediscovered” Tyree PM TN’ed long ago. Was pretty sad to hear that. Hopeful about PM corals.

Makes me wonder what’s missing now that wasn’t missing back when it was more available, especially given the amount of progress that has been made in the hobby.

Temps used to be higher, tanks used to be bigger? Some of the ULNS type practices contributed? No idea.

I'm not ready for the price tag. I sorta have an idea how much it is and it's prolly re-donk-u-lous. Of course if you find a reasonably price frag, I'd jump on it.

I see this OG Purple pop up on R2R every year there are a few people selling them from 200 to 600 bones for frags eek! Its around on other threads also sounds like @Turkeysammich may have a back door connect sweet!!.. surprised no one from BAR has a colony!

I have given up on it, tried it twice. Both times RTN, once after just a few days. Second time after a couple months. I had success in the past with both Eddie's and Tyree's.
