I'll try and give it a flat rock, but there's not really any open real estate on the rock work for it aside where I had it, but it kept moving. The clam needs a good spot to attach to (Maximas and croceas need to be on rock ideally). Try to find a piece of flat or concave rock for it to settle into. Also how much light is it getting?
Clams like high light, acro amounts of light just FYI. Otherwise they can "suddenly" die a few weeks or months down the road when they run out of energy storesI'll try and give it a flat rock, but there's not really any open real estate on the rock work for it aside where I had it, but it kept moving.
It was on the top where the sticks are around 350 par, the sand gets about 160.
I'm aware about the light needs, but the clam would throw itself off the rocks whenever I would have it higher up. Any advice on how to get it to "stick" to a more ideal spot?Clams like high light, acro amounts of light just FYI. I would ask are you sure it's the clam moving it'sself and not a fish. In my main tank my evil golden nugget maroons have a habit of knocking things over or moving stuff where they want it.I'm aware about the light needs, but the clam would throw itself off the rocks whenever I would have it higher up. Yeah, I've seen it "hop". It pushes off with its foot. My fish aren't interested in the clam. Clam cradle may be the way to go. I'm also not 100% sure it's a maxima but that's what I bought it as.I would ask are you sure it's the clam moving it'sself and not a fish. No idea how they do it clam is 4+ times bigger than they are.
Mine is attached to a clam cradle so if I wanted to I could glue it down. So far this week the clowns have left it alone. Last week I had to put it back every other day.

It's a maxima for sure. I agree with what @tribbitt said, you want to give it 250+Yeah, I've seen it "hop". It pushes off with its foot. My fish aren't interested in the clam. Clam cradle may be the way to go. I'm also not 100% sure it's a maxima but that's what I bought it as.
