210 gallon Dream tank

Why not a rabbitfish? You're one of the few people with a big enough tank on here to keep one and people are giving them away all the time.
I have a yellow inch fox face in my sps tank, but I’m holding out for a magnificant foxface (wish list fish) for the 210. When this foxface gets to big for the sps tank I will likely pass him on to someone else.

I almost actually bought a gold line rabbit fish petco blossom hill in san jose has had one for the last few months I've been keeping a eye on it.
I almost grabbed it but decided to wait last few times I went they had it in the tank with power brown tangs and I thought it not worth the risk. If it's still there next time I go I may grab it.

So in short getting a rabbit fish isn't off the table. I will certainly get a magnificent foxface. Not sure if I would want a foxface and rabbit fish in the tank once they are both full sized.

I want a few more tangs, in addtion to the smallwr yellow tang currently in the 210gallon, and the slightly larger yellow tang in the sps tank. That sps one will go to 210gallon when it out grows sps one.

Lol there is alot of future planning when it comes to stocking tanks.

A few turbo snails polished off my rock when I went through and GHA stage. They're a bit clunky, but get the job done.
I have prob 10 turbos in there already, 15 trochus and probably 40 or so Austria snails.

I will possibly get more sooner or later. None of the snails touch this longer gha sadly.

Tuxedo urchins did pretty good work on my GHA. Not sure if safe with that puffer?
Idk I could do some home work, I've only ever had a rock urchin in my nem tank. No real experience with others. I heard they lock knocking corals over so never got any. I will look into them.

They definitely knock over or pick up anything not glued down lol. Great algae eaters tho.

Tank is looking good despite the algae.

I finally got around to adding the other 2 mp40s, one last week and the other one yesterday for a total of 3. Combined with the dual return pumps (3 of the four in tank return nozzles pointed upward forsurface agitation and the 4th angled down center of tank)
I think the flow is finally adquate for the softies and lps currently housed. Sps is always a future possibility but I won’t consider it until the tank is mature and thriving.

The issues with alage finally made me say screw it and yesterday I treat the tank with reef flux. I also added the fox face in from my sps tank to also help but he's shown no interest in the hair alage.

I've considered adding urchins yet I'm not sure I want to deal with them knocking over frags etc. My snails do it enough already. I've also added more snails recently so I'm hopeful that if I can get most of it gone they should be up to the task of keeping things maintained. However urchins aren't off the table down the road.

I also finally got off my but and installed the hydros start on this system. I've spent 3 weeks looking at it in the box. I've installed a adaptive reef control board. But heck I probably could use help trying to make things look neater even with the board lol. My main tank is even worse with a whole controller cabinet.

I saw someone @FinalPhaze987 if I'm correct post pics of his controller. So I copied things slightly and bought some off the flat 3 foot extension cords to actually plug into the controller to keep things looking uniform on that end.

Ugh but heck, I'm at a total lost as what to do with all those various controller boxes on the side of the tank. It's organized but still gives confusion vibes lmao.

There is also two white mp40 controllers I have pretty much zip tied to each sidenof the floating canopies I'm to embarrassed to show.

If any of the neat organization freaks wants to drop by and coach me maybe lunch or beer on me on a day that works.

Tip for the MP40s. Usually you want to place them about a foot under the surface and set them up to antisync if you can. If the two non quiet drive ones are wireless they should be able to talk to each other. The third will work on its own.

The controller board I'm running was made for the apex, so not much thought was put into the layout truthfully.

Regarding the cord management, more is your friend, but you will have to deal with alot of slack. I used some 3d printed cord reels, cord raceways, clamps, and a faux wall to keep those out of sight. As clean as it may look, dont over do it. Changing out gear or servicing things can be a PITA. It took me an hour to swap out a PH probe....trust me when I say, it wasn't fun. My cat likes to chew on anything he can get his hands on, hence why I chose to tuck all of mine away..but at a cost.

Larger versions of the one below help to organize cords. These can be tucked behind a controller board rather easily from there. Label EVERYTHING...you WILL NOT remember what goes to what...no matter how much you tell yourself. Be safe and label it.

I’d put the mp40s on the back wall. Looks way cleaner to me
If snails are moving frags I’d say you aren’t doing a great job glueing them down
I don't normally ever glue them down. I use frag seats, and holders mostly. I'm crazy indecisive and always tell myself I may want to move something but I rarely ever do lol.

Get corals attached to smallish chunks of rubble. Glue rubble to rock. Easy enough to pry off if you want.
Not worth losing corals that come loose or avoiding herbivores that you kinda need imo

I mainly use things like this in the 210. I leave them on the plug. What occasionally gets loose is a hammer coral. I just grab with tongs and put them back. I've never glued a torch or hammer to a rock structure.

The big snails occasionally climb one of the hammers and toppled it. Beyond that they all stay put.

If you glue you can use urchins is my point. You are afraid of them and battling algae and despite g to chemical treatments when a little glue and some urchins would probably solve your issue.
Your tank tho

You can also put a little dab of glue on those plugs when setting them in the hole. Just a little, you can break it later, but critters will have a harder time.
