Does this snail truly work to eradicate zoas?

Did anyone use them effectively?

How many do I need to get rid of a larger colony?

Any downsides?

I have seen them. With only a one or two, as hitchhikers, they just make a colony look miserable, not eradicated.

Maybe with enough the zoas would dwindle and die out—which would be a huge win for people with “pest” zoas.

I don’t know if people sell them

A while back I read that some types of those tiny snails eat larger snails and clams. They look pretty similar so you would wanna be sure your getting the right ones.

My favorite ways to get rid of zoas are to cut the colony off or smother it. I wouldn't trust a biological solution here and haven't heard of anything robust.

You'd need a ton to do any damage. I used to have to remove them by the boat load from epi's we imported from Baja.
