    Anyone breeding Berghia?

Certainly not even close to demand though! I think I got PMs from like 15 people who wanted them and I'll have enough for the first 2. The timeline for me has been as follows: Jan 8 - Got delivery of 10 1/4" nudis, 7 alive Jan 15-30 - Nudis started to breed and lay eggs (and once the nudis...

    Anyone breeding Berghia?

He is! A lot more work than raising nudibranchs!

    Anyone breeding Berghia?

In my little experiment, baby nudis have finally started to appear. It was probably about 3-4 weeks from the first eggs being visible to seeing baby nudis, but at this point I just looked through and could count at least 10 tiny nudis (smaller than 1/4") going around my little 10 gallon tank...

    Anyone breeding Berghia?

I'm no expert on Aiptasia reproduction, but I believe if you want them to reproduce faster you should actively mess with them (cut them in half, prod them, etc), which I think causes them to create clones and spew them out. If you leave them alone they'll just grow and be happy.

    Anyone breeding Berghia?

The question is how much time and nutrients does it take to grow one medium sized aiptasia, something that a large bergia nudibranch will eat in one day. My guess is the reason there are only 2 suppliers of nudis is that the math of supplying food to the nudis a lot harder than it seems for...

    Anyone breeding Berghia?

I'm quasi-breeding them right now. I recently got an order of 10 small (1/4") bergias from saltyunderground, and put them in a 10 gallon QT tank before going into the DT tank. The goal was to both quaratine them for 14 days and to give breeding/growing them out a shot. The tank only has a...

    Acro crab

It was a 120 gallon tank. I currently have a 350 gallon tank and wouldn't add one, it isn't about tank size. It is just about the size of their pinchers and the theory that a crab will eat anything it can catch. However as I said I never saw any example of the crab misbehaving in any way...

Is this big enough to frag ?

If the goal is to make a frag, you can frag it. If the goal is to have a nice colony of that coral in your tank, then obviously cutting off 40% of the coral is going to slow down that process a lot because there is 40% less of an already tiny coral. And for all of the talk of frags growing...

    Acro crab

I bought one of those crabs from LA a few years ago. I expected a tiny little acro crab like I'd seen in wild colonies in the old days but instead the crab was very big, over 1" across with very big pinchers. I was pretty concerned but decided to put it in the reef anyways, and as it happened...
