    Baby clowns

I've had a pair of mocha vinci clowns for about 2 years now. They spawned for the first time last summer but only a few eggs survived and I could not remove the eggs since they were laid on the back wall of my tank. I added a PVC pipe and the clowns quickly made it their home. They spawned again...

How's the SPS frags doing from the Battle Corals GB?

Thats wild. Whatever you're doing is working amazingly. Those are tank goals for sure

How do I keep nitrates and phosphates UP?

100%. I use to dose nitrate to keep my levels between 2 to 4 ppm. Thats simply to serve as a buffer to prevent them from bottoming out. I used to dose twice a week but I made slight adjustments to my fuge lighting schedule concurrently so I could stop dosing altogether. Been steady at 4 ppm for...

How do I keep nitrates and phosphates UP?

As long as you regularly check your nutrients, increased feeding shouldn't crash your system (although do it slowly but the same could be said for chemical approaches). Phosphate can bind to your rocks (aragonite especially) so I've been skeptical about dosing sodium phosphate. You could run...

How do I keep nitrates and phosphates UP?

Rostato gave great advice. One thing I noticed is that your bioload seems low for your tank size. You can try getting more fish. Youll end up feeding more and that equals more fish poop. Fish poop is the best coral food.

    Coral Fight Club!

I have hairy mushrooms that have beat gsp and zoas. Anyone have an easy method of removing or controlling them that doesn't require rock to be broken or taken out?

How are your torches doing from the GB for purple/green tipped torches?

Bought a 3-headed torch from tankguy during his tank liquidation. He got this piece from this group buy and the torch is doing great so far.

Phosphates Low but Chaeto is dying

Macroalgae depends on iron. You can dose with iron supplements and see if that helps. Chaeto us much better at nitrate export than phosphate. What are your nitrates at? Personally, I have a heavily stocked tank and I use gfo in a reactor with chaeto and my phosphates are between 0.05 to 0.1...

    Palmers blue Millie (Bondolo)

FWIW, I've really appreciated having an automated Alk measurement device (Trident). I used to dose alkalinity at a fixed amount once per day but seeing how my alk swings over the course of the day prompted me to switch to multiple doses throughout the day to keep it very stable. Results have...

    Need Some SPS Wisdom

When my nitrates bottomed out, I used NeoNitro from Brightwell Aquatics. I dosed 1 ppm of nitrate every day until my nitrates were ~2-5 ppm and things recovered nicely. I also bought NeoPhos just in case my phosphates bottomed out but I never had to use it.

Nem just split..... Then split again

Just keep an eye on it but I wouldn't worry about that change in PO4. My phosphate spiked to 0.25 from 0.05 over the summer and my nems were fine.

Nem just split..... Then split again

Any changes to flow or lighting? How are your other corals looking? Anenomes do split when stressed but they also split without anything wrong in my experience.
