Ok after work today I will take the bag of ChemPure Blue out. I have no other filtration tho, will this be ok? All I will have will be blue white foam pad ontop of black filter sponge in the media basket & a Tunze 9001 skimmer.

Also I have caught my CUC in my Birdsnest many times. Could they be eating it? Maybe that's why it looks like its dying? Red leg hermit crab will be all in between the branches.

Question. I've had a bag of ChemPure Blue in for about 2 months. Can the addition of the ChemPure strip the water and cause coral issues? shrinking, bleaching, death etc... The only filtration I'm using is Blue white sponge ontop of original black filter sponge then the ChemPure Blue bag in that...

Wow that's close! Mine is about 8" under water and kessil is mounted 10" above the water line. What kind of lights are you using?

This was recommend from Kessil. But maybe I should look into lowering to 8.

I agree that 35% seems low, but at 40 corals were burnin up. I need to check my Iodide, Im not sure what the # is at

Getting all my Salt and RO from LFS. I don't make my own.

Was thinking maybe the upper branches were starting to shade the lower half of the birdsnest and starve it from light, but even the upper branches are not as vibrant as they once were. Alk has pretty much stayed the same.

Everything has come from a led tanks, usually Kessils.

Maybe I'll work on getting some more flow goin, but it is a small tank, don't want to start a sand storm lol.

My Reeftech Starburst Monti Cap was placed in the tank midway up in direct light after I had already turned the kessil down to 35 and it looked good for about a month then slowly started turning white, I lowered and partially shaded it about 2 weeks ago now its almost all the way white

parameter/stability is pretty much the same when I check every week. No spikes in either direction. I started at 40% (Per Kessil) for a few months and it seemed like corals were bleaching so I turned down for the past 2 months and seems the same.

ph8.2 nit/nitra 0. API test kit nitrate at 25 but Red Sea 0-5. I trust red sea over API. Phos .02 2 clowns, 2 cardinals, 1 flameback angel and 1 12 line wrasse. rotate days of food, coral frenzy pellets and rods frozen. Whatever the fish don't eat the corals get, I don't spot feed.

Intensity maxs out at 35% suggest I lower to 30% or 25%? Would my other corals be affected by the drop? (Euphyllia)
