    Electric work

Very assuring to know that we have one on here. Thank you for leaning in. And regarding how busy it can get with kids, I totally feel you. The good news is when they get around 17-18 years old your time will start to free up...if they're boys..if you got a daughter, free time comes in...

    Michael's 300 In Vegas

When (if) I ever get the green light to build a 300 gallon, I'd probably do the same hahaha... After my build, I hate wire management now

    Michael's 300 In Vegas

At least there's a drip loop or two in there....I think lol... That's some serious wiring.

    Electric work

They take jobs through all of NorCal and he has a team of people for his jobs. Hopefully this benefits some of the members out in the central valley and up North. When asking around for suggestions for an electrician, those I spoke to all said "I know a guy..." If all works out for the people...

    Electric work

Good to hear you were able schedule it. He does really good work and I'm sure people here will find him to be a great guy. His work is pretty meticulous and is persistent in doing things correctly and safely. When doing my house he gave me options, made suggestions, was accommodating with...

    Electric work

I recently had to upgrade my electric lines at home. My previous contractors electrician left one hell of a mess in a subpanel that controls half of my house. While I know how to change a socket or switch, I leave the heavy stuff like circuits and panels to licensed electricians. For those...

    Patrick's 81G - the last dance

I was able to fix the leak from the overflow box. After disassembly, found that the culprit was a warped bulkhead. I ordered another set from fiji cube and received another warped one. QC sucks but I was able to get a good set after my third order. I originally plugged the Straton into the...

    What salt mix you use?

I'm using aquaforrest to start with cuz that's what was on sale at the time. No testing done as of yet since my set up is still new. I'll let you know how I like it in a month since I still have a bucket left. In the past I've been partial to seachem..I like how clean it mixed and I was able...

    Willie’s Last Aquarium Build

A mini split above the tank is awesome. Seeing the condensation mine pulls from above the tank is wild. It went up to a gallon a day when using the dehumidifier feature. I found when I had it on to heat the room (78 degrees set point) and I had the fins oscillating, it would cool my tank to 75...

    32 Gal trash bins

Handles on the brute are a little more rounded and have a better feel, but its on wheels anyway. The casters work exactly the same.

    32 Gal trash bins

Same thickness and feel. Missing the tabs that hild in the bag, but that's about it. I picked up a third to have on hand, tried my brute casters on it and it fit.

    32 Gal trash bins

I was at the Costco business center today and noticed some 32 gallon husky trash bins for alot cheaper than what I just picked up a couple brutes for. They even get the wheels separately.

Clear Water Aquarium -California is killing us

I came in when they first opened doors in Berkeley just to browse and walked out with 10 frags for $15. They were some awesome folks there. Aquatic gardens or Aqua 123 in burlingame cornered the market at that time for cheap livestock, but I think they were supposed to be a wholesaler.
