    Teal fuzzy mushroom

Pickup in Santa Cruz. They look quite brown in this lighting but turn a metallic teal/gray under more typical reef lighting. Also have chaeto if anyone needs some.

    Ryan’s 40G first reef

I bet you could stay thoroughly entertained for many months with some "weed" corals like kenya tree or GSP, or zoas like @newfly and @Srt4eric have said. No need to fear them becoming pests if you give them their own island to grow on.

    Guppies - Please take em!

@ashburn2k I'd like some if you don't mind me scooping up a few for my 20g anubia tank. Haven't found a good time to make it up to the East Bay but maybe we could arrange something in the next month or so?

    Recommendations for attaching AIO box?

Ahhh makes sense, probably something like this https://www.saltwateraquarium.com/pf-1200-dual-overflow-box-eshopps/ I also grabbed the U-shaped tube that goes over the top. If anyone has the rest of it and wants these missing pieces let me know.

    Recommendations for attaching AIO box?

I grabbed this overflow box at the last frag swap and am putting together an all-in-one style internal sump to help with surface skimming and provide a place to throw carbon and other media. Thought this might be nicer than finding an HOB aquaclear. The destination tank is my standard rimmed 20g...

    Ryan’s 40G first reef

If there's still some live coral around the mouth, don't throw it away yet! I had my neon candy cane grow back to a mini colony from a just couple mm of coral tissue after a year of struggling from new tank issues.

@Apon the contrast in the photo makes it look way dark, but it's in about 100 par. Do you think I should try to give it more light? Thanks for the help! Before it moved to its current spot, I tried setting it in the center rockwork several times, and it always walked away to some dark corner of...

    Brian's Fluval 13.5

Some decent growth in the past couple months Any idea what the white fuzzy tube is on that stylo? Keeps reappearing every time I pull it off. The tube itself feels/looks like a pile of detritus glued together with slime.

    Brian & Fr Dat's 20G Softy/Nem Tank

Long overdue update: tank is doing good so far with its softies, zoas, gorgonians, and palys. Thanks to @Arvin R for the bta and gorgonian! The students definitely enjoy checking out all the cool critters when they visit the Newman house. Fr. Dat surprised us with 3 new yellowtail damsels and...

Thoughts on cause of slow SPS bleaching

I know it's been a while, but I wanted to contribute my one data point: My cali tort frag from the same mother colony started doing almost the same thing this week - slow tissue loss from the base, on the shaded side facing current. No tissue loss on any neighboring corals. No detectable red...
