I always liked feeding my torches and other lps appropriately sized foods. Reef nutrition ROE seemed to be a good one, as well as the powdered foods. I understand that everything with a mouth needs to be fed, torches included. My guess is something bacterial, especially if it was overnight...

I think I max it around 70-80%, but I just set it up a couple days ago. I just know they like high light. Derek said almost 400 par in the spot the nem was in, so I can increase the light intensity a bit once it settles.

I think the edges may have grazed each other yesterday, but it didn't seem significant. I am hoping the mag moves up towards the light.

I have had a hard time getting one to thrive from the store here, but might be worth a try in a different tank to get it strong, then put it in the 300.

I added a tunze ato, small jebao wavermaker, orbit bar light (temporary until I get my extra ap700 installed), heater + inkbird hooked up and got the pump/valve tuned to be much quieter. I am planning on adding a screen top from Jumpguard, an eheim autofeeder and a 2 little fishes feeding ring...

In preparation for a nem shipment from @derek_SR , I swapped the AI 45 light out with a Kessil 360x. The AI 45 only put out a max of 100 par at the surface and the Kessil is much stronger. I am a fan of the reflectors to keep the light pointed down and not into my eyes. Debating on moving...

Just listened to this, interesting to learn about the migration of copepods from the depths up and down, and coral spawning is mentioned.

Tempting, add a couple of your easiest sps frags (monti, Stylo etc) and I'll cover shipping! I still think I should add some of the rock from my 300 sump for speed of cycle reasons, but I like the idea of more bacterial variants in the tanks.

I'm getting live rock from my 300 sump to kick the biome. I just finished up the antibiotics in it so it's probably weird, but I still think it's the fastest way to get the new tank running. I swear I said this above ;), lol. I knew you would understand me.
