Not powder coated, but painted. 1" X 1/8" tube steel. It was light enough i could pick it up and move it around myself.

Wow, your lucky Mike. I had that same problem with wet powerstrip, and my wife woke up (after i had already left for work) on the 2nd floor because smoke was comming from under the doors. It started the stand and the wall behind it on fire. Im glad that everything was ok!!

nope. glue the foot onto another rock, it will stick to the sand and attach after a few days. These things are nearly indestructable.
