    Aerating a nano

As always, thanks for your input Gresham -looks like this tank will have no airpump! Sweet!

    Aerating a nano

Thanks for your input :) I'll be using an MP10 (closer to the surface of the water) for circulation, but the current won't cause the surface of the water to "break" or really "agitate." The surface will be wavy and moving though -I didn't know this would promote gas exchange?

    Aerating a nano

I am moving my pair of clowns into an ADA 7.5g tank -I don't use protein skimmers nowadays, and am just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on keeping a nano aerated? I am thinking of just using a small airpump -seems like the best option unless someone mentions something else?

    Copperband Butterfly

I just kept feeding, and mixing foods, and over time the CBB became less and less picky about things. I did use a garlic soak the first couple of days, but am unsure of how much it actually may have helped.

    Pair of Blennies?

Going on Jeremy's recommendation; I had a pair of tail spot blennies (E. stigmatura) in a 33g before, and it was no problem. They were full sized, and courting one another regularly. I don't think you will have a problem in a 180g.

The color of the hairs was similar to the color depicted in the image, though when viewed (not backlit by the sun) the only difference was that they didn't appear to be so brightly lit :) The cows are famous now :D

Just an update -the copperband seems to be keeping down more food than it spits out :)

    Copperband Butterfly

Matt, my CBB comes to the front of the tank and to the surface of the water looking for food when I am standing in front of the tank. When I pour a bit of thawed mysis into the tank the CBB grab a piece, "chews" (for lack of better words) it, and spits out some small bits of mysis ... I can't...

Yes, I am aware that these fish don't do all that well in the long term, and can be finicky eaters. This being my first tank with fish only, I figured I might give one a try and see how it goes. I've selected one that was picking at mysis at the LFS, but even now that I've had it for a couple...
