Whenever someone offers me a "free fish" I know it comes with free diseases too. Gotta QT all fish unless they're coming directly from Kenny or Biota. I go a step further and have a fishless tank in the back for new corals. Also it would be a lot easier doing this in like a 40 breeder or two...

If you had a sensitivity experience that bad, you should get rid of all of them and avoid that coral family all together. Plenty of other nice corals to choose from!

For anyone thinking about this, it's really hard to get a true pink color that shows in both daylight and actinic. And it isn't that hard to keep vs. pink SPS. One of the reasons why @tribbitt 's tank looks good is because he uses contrasting colors and locations.

Kenny is pretty open with his success rate and it's very high compared to other individuals or businesses. Hence why he always has so many copperbands for sale.

Tbh I feel like you can get one as a PIF most of the time due to everyone not realizing their tank is under 200 gallons and rehoming it.

Your tank during LARS still looks better than most of ours at peak attention. Do you think the fish got through small gaps or just the short times you have the lid off? I like @SupraSaltyReefer 's idea of having some acrylic or something plug the back gap. I honestly only ever fully getting...

@Thales mentioned that it's an aefw magnet so keep an eye on them as a canary. The piece I picked up from him was like a brick, they really lay down skeletons!

Did that already (reef flux). Killed the bryopsis but not this.

77F, flow is pretty good after cleaning but of course they clog up with Lyngbya. Everything else is standard targets. Dosing traces in my 3 part and my last ICP showed traces and minor elements within normal ranges. Only other dosing is ammonium bicarb, which started after this has been a problem.

Yeah definitely switch to the LiFePO4 chemistry that I used, way safer and will last a decade. It's also way lighter too.
