With those fish I wouldn’t worry about any of them jumping. I have a bunch of similar ones in an open top rimless tank without any issues. As others pointed out getting glass or acrylic lids to cut down on evaporation is something you might look at but I wouldn’t worry about those fish.I have a 100gallon stock tank.
My plan is to house all my fish that's currently in the 65gallon tank. Long term possibly 2-3 months maybe less maybe longer uncertain for now.
The fish are destined to go into the 210gallon tank once set up and running.
I have several things tondo before that tank is ready to go.
Moving the fish will allow me to get rid of the 65gallon tank, clear space in living room and make my wife happier.
What are some considerations needed to keep the fish long term in a stock tank.
Filtration i have a skimmer. Oxygen, heaters ect. Maybe egg crate over top to keep them from jumping? Prehaps a light for the fish.
Flow if needed?
I plan to add rocks in the stock tank as well the ones that will eventually end up in the 210gallon tanks sump.
Open to any suggestions as this is something Ive never done before. Any tips or suggestions would be helpful.

It's also the potential of my cats going fishing lmao. With those fish I wouldn’t worry about any of them jumping. I have a bunch of similar ones in an open top rimless tank without any issues. Yea will keep it simple just probably toss two cheap sheets of white egg crate on top and call it done. Better than a net they won't easily fall through it.Oh man!! If the cat jumps on a saggy net getting tangled on water could be disastrous good call watching out!!
