Advice for owning a clam?

Hey all,

I've had my tank running for a few months now and it's a solid mix reef at this point. I'm currently seeking advice on clams, as I don't really know much about them.

I could go on YouTube for it, but I'm making this thread to hear of experiences from local club members.

This would be a great thing to post in your tank journal. I know nothing about your tank So it’s hard to give any advice.
 
They really, really, like light, and they can be Alk (and calcium) consuming machines. They might appreciate some food in the tank (don’t spot feed them), but it isn’t going to compensate for a lack of light.
As to if this is a good idea, a link to, or post in, a journal with more specifics and pictures would help.
