Algaefied Mag Racks

Bought some Mag Racks a while back. I thought the black ones weren't supposed to attract algae, but.... What's the easiest, safest way to kill the algae? It's that stringy algae.

I usually clear the rack of frags and do a quick soak in hot bleach water followed by a soak in hot water with prime. Nothing is safe from algae in a reef tank

I had a little trouble with algae on my black eggcrate and I noticed one day that I had sun coming into the window hitting the tank pretty intense like for a couple hours in the mid afternoon. I installed a curtain to block the light and in about 3 days almost all the algae was gone. A week later now and there's not a trace.
