Are copepods worth it?

I have seen people like copepods but i'm not sure if its worth it.
I'm getting dwarf seahorses so i'm thinking of possible good foods and for my 20 gallon.
Is it worth it???

100%. I think they play a vital role in every reef tank. I don’t know too much about seahorses but if they’re appetites are anything like mandarins, you might have a hard time having them establish a population in your tank due to its size and having Little Rock/rubble for them to hide in. Especially if you’re adding them in after your seahorses and not give them a chance to establish before adding in predators.

If you plan on feeding them straight from the bottle it's going to get expensive real quick. The better option is to buy a bottle and set up a culture so you have a continuous supply of them to add into the seahorse tank over time. Settting up a culture is a challenge in itself.

I have a tisbe copepod culture that I feed my seahorse babies on top of freshly hatched baby brine shrimp. This is until they're big enough that they can get weaned onto frozen foods.

What tank are running? Or rather can you set up any kind of refugium? I found that really helped with them. Constantly saw them running around in the sea lettuce.

Only regret not having sea lettuce anymore (once I started carbon dosing -all died off)

I'm definitely going to get some but I'm probably going to wait for a group buy because of shipping.
I would definitely think about setting up a culture. It's already been mentioned, but definitely order from @Coral Hub (Nathan) . He's a BAR sponsor and his pod bottled are packed denser than any other vendor I've tried. Shipping is minimal and sometimes, it arrives within a day. Good luck.
