Best calcium reactor media & PhosBan media?

I am planning on purchasing media for my PhosBan reactor, calcium reactor, and refugium substrate. In your experience, which media should I get?

Calcium reactor: On Webwebmedia, they seem to recommend KNOP KORALlith. Is that media much better than others like CaribSea? Should the media be very coarse, to avoid clogging the reactor's water pump?

PhosBan reactor: best to use activated carbon, or Purigen or Phosguard? So far, my water quality tests have turned out fine... no problems with phosphates, nitrates, etc.

Refugium: I plan to grow pods, chaeto and mangroves in the middle section of my 40 gallon sump. Looking at CaribSea Mineral Mud Refugium Substrate, because it is so much less expensive than Fiji or Miracle muds.

Interested in your experience & advice.

Caribsea "mud" really isn't a functional mud. For that purpose I would use Ecosystem or Fiji. True they are more expensive but they deliver what you are looking for. CS's is just for looks for the most part.

I use CS ARM (extra course) for my CA Reactor. I use Warner Marine GFO but any GFO will work. Many love the BRS bulk stuff.
