Clowns turning into dalmatians?

Hello folks,
My two clowns have started developing black spots on them over the last couple of weeks.
They are still feeding and swimming well.

I understand this can be due to anemone stings, but I only got my first RBTA on Friday.

Does anyone have pointers on what this might be?
FWIW: I do remember seeing a clown in one of ACs frag tanks that would put a Dalmatian to shame.
