Cool fish at Cali Kids, had to exercise restraint.

Well,
Stopped by Cali Kids today for some water. Cos got a shipment of fish in this week. Lots of cool fish. I had to exercise patience and restraint. I currently have 5 fish in my QT/isolation tank. It is not yet time to move them into the main display. Until then no more fish, but man...it was tempting.
He had two radiant wrasses, two super tiny captive bred regal angels (a little bigger than a quarter), bimac anthius, small purple tangs, and a few others I cannot remember.

I picked up a captive bred regal about 6 weeks ago from him, about 2-3in in size. Has been doing really well so far. The other fish are the two captive bred clowns from the frag swap, a rhomboid wrasse, and a copperband butterfly. I don't think the regal or copperband will be able to join the main display for at least another 4 to 6 months (need to get a lot bigger, and the copper needs to get better about eating). Guess it will be next summer before I see stuff like this again.

I had the chance to pick up a radiant wrasse a couple of years ago from another member. Ended up buying a gem tang, purple tang, rosy scale wrasse, and lineatus wrasse from him. It was a toss-up between the rosy scale and the radiant. Unfortunately, the lineatus died two days before the end of QT. Still regret not getting the radiant wrasse. It had been in his tank over a year and doing well.

I know there will be opportunities in the future...just need to be patient.

I did ask him about tariffs. There was a discussion on humblefish about this. Looks like prices for fish and corals will be going up soon.
