Hey Reefers!
I'm getting back into the hobby after about 25 years away...back then, damsel-cycling of aquariums was standard practice.
Hobby renewed, I used the "deli shrimp" method to cycle my new DT, and it cycled about 2 months faster than I was anticipating! Unfortunately, my QT won't be done cycling for probably another week or so (I lagged on setting it up because I thought the cycle would be quicker), and I don't want to add anything to the DT without first giving it a good quarantine and/or treatment cycle. Two questions:
Thank you in advance!

Two questions:
- Are there any LFS in or near the bay area who have fish that can be trusted to not be carrying parasites and/or harmful bacteria? I.e., is there anywhere to get some fish that can go straight in the DT and absolutely not introduce any parasites or similar?
- If not, what is the best way to keep the bacteria in the DT fed while new fish run through their quarantine cycle? Just throw in another shrimp?I don't want to ghost feed since it seems like a waste of $$.
Thank you in advance!
