Hey team,

My Cyphastrea in my tank has started discoloring a bit.

Not sure what is causing it to do that... it had been a strong grower.

You can see params in my tank journal but here are a few things that have changed:
1) toxic pie and Cyphastrea touched for a day or two - mentioned in other thread
2) started dosing all for reef to stabilize alk. Had been down around 7 and now is around 9-10 but calibration has been hard because syringes....
3) torch had been growing near it and stinging but it fell and no longer stings the side of the coral (opposite where discoloration is happening)

Kinda curious since everything else in tank is growing well.

Could be the all for reef it’s probably adjusting to the alk being raised. Also did you raise your lighting to be brighter? They usually like medium light I believe.

Could be that’s why I’m asking. Alk has gone up for sure.

I’ve bent the light a little more for the SPS frags but maybe only an inch or so on a single kessil.
