Kyle, what type of sand do you use for them? Oolitic? Or can it be coarser?

yeah it can be slightly coarser. I use half oolitic and half some slightly coarser sand

I asked about some from there and they just said they don't get them in very often.

My sand is the special grade stuff from Neptune. It looks to be about 1mm average. Is that going to be too coarse then? Do they need it thinner to burrow adequately?

my "slightly coarser" sand in my sand mix is about 1mm. IMO you should be fine, but i would still add in some finer sand so that its a mix. Karson told me that they can get them right now, but they didnt order any because they dont really sell.
