Why are there two plugs; one grounded and one not?

one plug goes to 110v
the other goes to ( say your timer) or switching on/off device

This is perfect for big heaters or chillers or big pumps. You have it connected to a dedicated 110v or 1 that does not have as many things hooked up to it. The 2 prong then goes into an Apex controlled outlet on the EB8 or 832. This way you can control something that will draw more than the 7a each Apex outlet is rated for.
