Hey everyone, I've started cultivating phytoplankton (one vessel each of Nanno and Tetra) to dose my tank as well as use as a food source to raise pods and brine shrimp. The brine is being raised on phyto and will be gut loaded with spyro before harvesting. Lastly I've ordered some pods off algae barn to add those to the cultivation mix. I did this mostly to see if I could setup a cultivation station that would let me raise all three with minimal trouble. So far the phyto and the Brine shrimp are going very well and I'm expecting the pods to be a similiar story.
What I'm wondering is if there is any interest for other folks to benefit from this? As it is I'm producing about a half a gallon of mixed phyto per week which is waaay more than I need. Once I've been able to prove the process for the brine shrimp and pods I expect I'll have more of those than I need as well.
So: Is there any interest in the area (I live in Hercules near Pinole) for curbside pickup of any of these? I'm envisioning just leaving these out in front of the house and letting folks come by to pick them up as needed and if it becomes something that folks do regularly we can just setup a swap, leave a container / take a container kind of thing.
