Hawkfish sitting on mp40

So today, I just purchased a new longnose hawkfish, and as part of the acclimation process I turned off my powerheads (there were other fish too). Now, his favorite spot is on top of the MP40. I don't want to turn it on for fear of him being sucked on to it. Is it ok for him to sit there or do I have to get some sort of guard?

Mine Red Hawkfish is sitting everywhere . I don't think it will get sunked in. You can scare him and then start the pump so next time when he gets there he will be more prepared

Hawkfishes are strong swimmers. My Flame hawk would do that all the time and never got sucked in.
