Help - "Red Turf Algae"

Ok got rid of almost 3 bad things in my reef.

1. Emerald cyano - Better water flow, Manual removal
2. Green Hair Algae, almost gone - Sea Hare, Lettuce Nuti., Urchin, Turbos, Hermits, Manual removal & GFO Reactor
3. Dynoflagulates - Blackout, GFO reactor

NOW I have "Red Turf Algae" this stuff is nasty, it cannot be manually removed, some have even used torches to get it out by burning. This stuff grows in good water conditions and I can't find anyway to get rid of it. I purchased one Giant Turbo Snail - golf ball sized. Those I have been told may help thin it out. I'm so close to having a problem free tank.. Hell I feel as though I could write a book now on algae. But has anyone found a way to kick this stuff??

It's red, and looks like coarse hairs, they feel prickly and they are not soft like hair algae. The tangs nip at it but cannot even pull it off the rock.

Ideas on how to fight this stuff, please give me some hope.

I think Turf, I don't know what red Agaropsis looks like, and google cant find it?

I just purchased a jumbo mexican turbo, last night I placed him directly on one of the spots. He loves it thankfully. He's cleaning some of it off, not all of it but he makes a dint in the area he's on, so looks like I may have a winner! Whew! So now I just need to find more Jumbo Pacific/Mexican Turbos, and pray that they can tackle this outbreak.

Man I feel like the algae king, I don't know what I did to deserve this many types of problematic algae. But thankfully with all you guys help the tide may be turning. I really was thinking of giving up, there was a time I just didnt want to look at my tank b/c it would stress me out. Now knowing that I may have solutions to the problems I can look at it again. Last night I just sat in front of it and watched things move around for a hour last night it was great. And I am starting to feel a sense of accomplishment.

Now more importantly, anyone know where I can buy jumbo mexican turbos?

Any store that buys from Cortez Marine can get them. Steve's got them on his list right now :)

Yup. I thought the spelling was off. I should have checked :D

Max carries those Mexican turbos as well. I picked up 3 of them awhile back and they mowed the pink puffs over in less than a week.

They do get large though (bulldozers in my tank) and are really only active when the lights are out.

It looked odd so rather then doing a search for it, I did AquaTouch :)

that pict of the red fluffy stuff is different than what I have. The stuff in my tank lays semi flat and covers like runners. I'm pretty sure it's the Turf.

Thanks for the 411 on the snails, my tank is becoming more stable the longer it's set up. So hopefully they'll do fine.

I once had the red fluffy stuff, but got rid of the entire rock. That was a year ago.. guess I dodged that bullet without knowing I did.
