G GreshamH Guest Dec 29, 2006 #2 Most I've seen have been around @ least 8" to the bulb, most are a bit higher though, about 10"-12" to the bulb. The reflector is like 8" deep and if want any type of access with out moving them, 4" or more inches is needed IME.
