ID need for this green monti

I always thought this was the rainbow, but turns out it’s not, looks like aquaman but yellow polyps.

They don’t look that different really. Rainbows can look quite different sometimes depending on god knows what and such. Also, it’s like scans, I don’t Think there’s just one “rainbow” monti. Maybe that’s just me though.

I thought you can tell the difference based on their base?

Sure the base looks more green than blue on the one, like I said, pretty close. If they have both been in your tank right next to each other for awhile and look different they probably are. I just think many people will call thugs like both of those rainbow monti. Maybe you need to start calling one true rainbow or some nonsense. Who knows.
