Is this safe or should I remove it?

Found two of these star fish in my sump tonight when adding some pods to my refugium. They are both small, size of a quarter and are colored red with white bands. Should I leave them along or should hey be removed asap?

They are harmless and probably helpful. Good thing since they are also impossible to get rid of as far I know. I have thousands.

Just get a harlequin shrimp. He'd take care of them.
