cannibalism at its best.. today while cleaning my tank, i found my green fromia starfish molesting one of it's arms. i noticed the arms missing and wondered if they were under some rocks or what not.. now i know..

sigh, i'm gonna have to give away the 2 other arms i cut off. they're almost fully healed and should develop the mouth and limbs soon.

i moved the starfish to clean the glass and thats when i saw one of the legs in his mouth. the skin is partially white on one of the legs. the tentacles are still moving tho. thats a good sign. i'm gonna need to find these guys new homes or rig a container for em.

Oh yes, you can cut arms off and they will regrow mouths and their other arms. It is a very interesting strategy to maintain the species. :)
