Last night I was checking on the tank, regular things, skimmer pump, top off, test water and got some nitrates on the 46, about 10ppm so it was back to find the source of that, found it easily; it was the sulfur reactor, got plugged up and as soon as I cleared it WOW!!!
What a stench (it´s one of the things about the reactor) soon the apartment was full of rotten egg smell, my wife went nuts but I told her it was a dead fish, she believed it. closed the bedroom door and placed some clothes at the bottom to keep the smell out also had to run a fan pulling air to the outside at full speed most of the night. Now to watch the reactor an system more often as I don´t want a crash to hit the tank, finally doing some sps and it would suck if it crashes on me.
This morning no bad smell at all, fish seem happy and corals as well.
