Upsizing my ro container. 27 to 75 gallon capacity. I know, I should get plywood under there. But I'll just fill it a little bit and see when the sag happens. Worst case, garage floor is really wet. Lots of projects, not enough nanny time to get me free to do projects.
Tank has been somewhat neglected due to holidays. I had half of the wav pumps go out for a while for no good reason. I think it had to do with addressing in the apex and maybe it getting confused due to the large number of wav pumps.
I stuck my used mp60 on there and like it, but don't like the new $900 price tag. I am debating on moving on from the wav pumps due to how often one goes out. I like the reef octopus pumps I have, and 2 of them can be hooked to one controller, so I can get them on opposite walls of the 6' tank and the 4's really move some water. I just wish the duty cycle was longer, so instead of 4-8 seconds of them on one way before switcing, I'd like a few minutes, but I think I can just program them over wifi or something. Need to dive in a little there.
2 of my 10 lights aren't working due to some connectivity issue, I need to debug that but am posting here instead.
Most of the lps and sps have died, and there is a fair bit of cyano. Not really sure why because things should still be pretty happy with 5 active pumps in the tank, but who knows. So I ordered more cheap frags online, another frag rack from PNW for 3/4" glass and am going to see what a bunch of corals on frag racks do for me.
I did get 2 of the great white sized Algae Free scrapers and they actually work well on the 3/4" glass. So I will probably get one more for the short side. Only negative with them is they sink, but they are really strong so I forgive them.
The gorgonian colonies are really happy, and the one gold hammer colony in the middle of the tank is still good, but the rest of the tank has pretty much lost coral all over.
The fish are all happy and healthy at least.
Just went to the Coralvue outlet and there is an additional 30% off, so the normally $400ish Reef octopus was closer to $200 open box. So that is in the mail now.
