My first big online coral order!

My first big order of corals online! I spent about $150 + $25 shipping (split shipping with a few other BAR members, who really only bought like $10 worth of stuff so I took the grunt of the shipping).

Let me know what you think:

Miami Orchid - LA's picture doesn't look that great, but I've seen Miami Orchids look spectacular in people's tanks, so hopefully this will color up real nice in mine

Blue Bottlebrush - Neat blue color, awesome shaped branches

Snow White Acro - Yes, could it be bleached? No, according to LA this is their natural color. I've always liked "whitish" colored coral, because they are so bright, but usually that means they bleached. Since this is aquacultured, I'm pretty sure this is how they're supposed to look. Let's hope so =) I have 14 day guarantee, woopee

Fireside Tenius! I've always been in love with this picture, though I hope the actual coral turns out to be half as beautiful!!

Nice, though I always thought that online was more for people that couldn't get access to stuff that we in CA are able to. Especially with the kind of sponsors that we have :D

I've been going to a few LFS's, but haven't found any really cool SPS on the days I've gone. And it's true, with my schedule at the moment, this will be the only way. I'm also digging the 14 day guarantees, and the 30 day on the certified captive grown.

I wish I had more time to stop by LFS's and look at their corals. The only one I can visit regularily is All About Fish, and they usually don't have that great of SPS these days. They have great fish though ;)

I'm thinking of maybe trying to goto Ocean's Treasures over on Duboce on weekends since I work near there anyway. Oh and stop by charles' pad to checkout his awesome corals too ;)

Keep us updated on how the corals do for you,I've been thinking about ordering corals from them for a while now... I also was thinking about ordering the fireside from them...

The corals are really nice =) Super healthy! I did get one Chips Green/Blue Acro which RTN'd, but they refunded me right away for it without any questions.

The bottlebrush is mostly brown with very purple tips. The polyp extension is amazing though. Looks great, and has a thick body.

The miami orchid isn't blue at all, like the picture, but that lavendar purple color that they should be. The base is dark brownish with some green coming now. Mostly greenish around the base with some green polyps there. Otherwise dark brown polyps up top. Getting very beautiful now =)

I know Norman got a Miami Orchid from the raffle, how does that one look?

The Snow one is cool, it's super white at the tips, looks healthier than bleaching, so it's kind of neat. The base is brown though, but the polyps are darker brown, so it's kind of neat. So it's kind of like a good looking "bleached" coral, haha. Unique IMO.

And of course, the fireside is freaking awesome! SUCH great color. Brightest green ever, and the tips are nice and bright blue. The blue is fading a bit though in my tank, not sure why, but the base green is very intense. I like the structure of that coral too. I'm putting the coral in less light now to see if it'll blue up a bit more.

Pictures soon =)
