Recharging Purigen

Hi all, My pouch of Purigen turned dark and now it's time to recharge. I can't find the instruction sheet. Can anyone fill me in on the proper directions? Thanks

1:1 water bleach 12-24 hrs, rinse, soak in H2O w/ purigen 24 hrs, rinse, short soak in H20 & your all set.

;)I'll bring your sand to the swap to Steve, I've been outta town for a little while.

I've used it since they launched the product, at one point in a fluidized reactor. I like the stuff myself, it is real aggressive to the point that you have to keep an eye out for bleaching as it will strip a small tank clean.

Great, I will try to do that. I have 3 bags and I think one bag will do 100 gallon. So I mighty do 3 bags. Is by putting them in a fluidized reactor will make them work more effectively? rather than dump it in the sump?
Thanks for the input, Jeremy.

[/quote]If you plan on using several bags, I'd start one at a time over the course of a week or two so you don't shock the system.

I used Purigen in a fludized reactor when the top of the line skimmer was a Sanders (15+ years ago). The only Acros available than were big wild colonies, which were very difficult to keep with the knowledge we had back then. Between the Purigen, and Ushio making a 10k bulb I was able to keep Acros alive in a store display.
