Recommendations for Cave Dwelling Fish

Hello,
I have rehomed my snowflake eel, but now have large pvc pipes on the bottom of my tank. I do not want to go through the hassle of taking all the rocks out to get rid of it.
So are there any reef safe fish that could utilize the pvc pipes as a home? The system is bare bottom.

court jester goby, mine loves to hide in the rocks and it even builds caves for itself. they also take care of hair algae & algae on the sand if you have any

I was hoping to find one that will spend a fair amount of time swimming in and out of the two, 3ft pieces. Basslets are an interesting idea. I'll keep the royal gramma in mind too. My tank has no sand so it rules out a lot of gobies.

Because you have great hide spots, I’d seriously consider a pair of orchid or springers dottybacks, or grammas. They pair easily when young (IME) and their behavior as a pair is loads of fun to observe.

Are you against another eel? I'm partial to Zebra Morays. Super cool and very chill. Not escape artists and don't bother a thing

You’ve paired royal grammas?
Yep! They lived together and shared a cave for about 2 years before I lost the smaller one, which I assume was the female. Lost the male maybe a year later. Not sure if it's just me, but in my hands they didn't seem to be a very long lived fish, which was a bummer. My male was the biggest one I've ever seen when I lost him, and they started out pretty small.
