Red sea Foundation KH and Magnesion Brightwel helps

My 30 gallons current water parameters are: magnesium at 760, alkalinity at 2.0, and calcium at 300, which is lower than recommended. To address this, I'm dosing Red Sea Foundation KH 60 mL to increase alkalinity to 10.0. I'm also dosing Magnesion Brightwell 8 mL to raise magnesium levels. Once both parameters are stable, I'll begin dosing Complete Reef. I’ve been dosing 10 mL All for reef daily. Am I on the right track? Thanks.

I don’t use those products but your test are not correct. Everything would be dead if those numbers were correct.
What are you using for testing.
Also I think you’re new to the hobby right ? If yes. Stay away from dosing anything. Just water changes at least for a six months to year.
Until you understand chemistry. Dosing is not your friend if you don’t know what you’re doing

Yes im using red sea test kit. The reason im dosing because my LPS dont look happy and dying. For new tank changing water is the best way to go then.

Yes. Also if your aquarium is new like 6 months or less. And it’s sterile. Slow down. Build your macro and micro environment. The number one failure is new , too fast = death. Think of it as building a house. It’s only as good as the foundation. All building blocks my friend.

Thanks will keep that in mind. Water change water change

I don't believe those testing results either not sure that's possible in a new tank for that matter. I agree that everything would likely be dead as well.

Take a water sample to hightide and let Kenny test it for You? Your tag says Oakland so probably the closest recommended lfs to you.

If you go take time and chat with him he won't steer you wrong.

The problem is your tank is TOO SMALL.

Go bigger = less parameter swings = less problem.

Side note, we met, you ain't as Asian Idol handsome as your profile picture. LOL
