Red Tabling Acros

What red tabling acropora do you like? If there can only be one, what would it be?

I'm close to pulling the trigger on a buy from battlecorals. Options include: red planet or bc mutha ship. Also strongly considering a PC rainbow. Bonus points for hardy. That has me leaning towards pc rainbow or red planet. If mutha ship is about as hardy as the other two, that's my first choice. Tough choice between pc rainbow and red planet.

PC rainbow doesn’t always table, it can branch too.

Most acros table eventually though, especially if you mount them to the side of rocks

Bill murray is a nice one, even though it’s not solid red. I think we have an active DBTC chain going for it too. I made the mistake of buying it and didn’t realize we had a chain, but at least it was pretty inexpensive lol

I just picked up a PC Rainbow colony from a buddy. Once it settled in and colored up I’ll put it on the DBTC. You don't need to buy it from BC.

I have a small frag of PC Rainbow too. I believe that the growout contest was on that.

I would get all three and grow them for a year or so and then maybe select the one to keep long term. Not sure on your amount of space tho

This seems like the way. My space is incredibly limited, which is why I framed the question the way that I did. I don't really have the space but it feels like if you want to get into the acro game, you need to have started a year ago. Thinking I will pick up both (along with a tricolor valida and sunset milli) and see who can hack it in my tank until the 2025 tank upgrade.

I'd love to get a healthy piece of PC rainbow from someone. I'm in Oakland with two small toddlers so my availability is terrible. It's why I was considering overpaying BC to have it delivered to my house. It's so awesome to see the club's generosity in action.

Incidentally, I have a small Vivid Confetti that is going through a rough patch (went out of town and several things went out of whack). Torn between staying the course now that I have everything stabilized or donating it to someone else in the hopes of getting a frag back some day. May need a separate post for this.

My vivid confetti tables quite nicely. PC superman is also a nice easy to grow table. More pink then red.
