Reefing art plugs are a different beast

I tried to cut the stem off my GMK zoas. I wrapped it in a towel to prevent shards from flying, and eventually i heard a crack. But it turns out the plug is completely fine and it was my clippers that broke

The metal shard actually cut some of the GMKs so I hope they’ll be OK. I just thought this was hilarious

Sound like those plugs would have be suitable for middle age seige warfare ammunition. Or pirate grape shot blasts during ship to ship battles

Damn! There are some plugs out there that are completely ridiculous. I've had to take a Dremel to them to weaken the stem. I am not sure why they are made that way.

You should attach a zoa frag to the metal clipper shard that broke off for the next swap. At least it’ll be easier to cut.

A bit of rust and those thin sophisticated stainless bone cutters snap! Thankfully u didn't squish a finger! After snapping a pair of mine I switched to an old pair of end cutters/compound tile nippers that worked like a charm leave a clean flat plug ! A bit of rust no worry's can sqeeze with confidence !! They work great on thick vermetid snails or flattening rock surfaces inside the tank if needed ...Shrapnel does fly off those reefing art plugs crazy!
