spots on clown

I have two clowns that I've had for about a month now. One is slightly larger than the other one, but they are both still small (maybe an 1.5-2"). They are false Percs, BTW. Anyway, the bigger one for the last two days is getting bumps on him. They aren't really white, so they don't look like ick, but they are more just little pin size bumps. I noticed he (she?) had three on her right side one night and the next day they were gone and then she had some on her left side. Do you think this is ick or do you think it's from them fighting?

If it's ick or something else, what do I do? They aren't acting any different and the smaller one doesn't have anything on him.

Thanks!

There's no way, I can get a picture, I tried, but my camera sucks and they are the same color as the fish so you can't see them in the picture. hmmm. . . I'll keep researching.

When I do hypo, I take the s.g. down to 1.009 over a period of several days. This should be in a hospital tank. Corals and other inverts won't survive hypo.

Here are some useful articles:

If it is ich, you need to let the main tank run fishless for about 4-6 weeks to break the life cycle of the parasite.

Are the bumps white in color? It sounded like you were saying they weren't. Ich would look like small white bumps, kind of like they have salt sprinkled on them.

Have you recently introduced them to an anemone or anything? Have you seen the two of them fighting?

if they don't look like ich, maybe they are another type of parasite that is hanging off the fishes skin? or perhaps a pushing out from under a scale? or like eileen said, maybe fungus? not sure without a pic..

They aren't white, just bumps. They are gone today. Weird. I have noticed them kinda picking on eah other I wouldn't call it an all out fight, but they will dive bomb each other sometimes. I don't know what it was. Nothing has changed in the tank, either, since I got them. I'll watch to see if they come back.

Thanks for the help!

I notice that on occasion, my smaller clown will bite at the bigger one, I'm not sure if it's some sort of submissive display or what.

If it were me, I would just keep an eye on it and see how it behaves. If it's eating and acting normally, then I'd probably be inclined to just leave it alone.
